ASX gains 0.6% to break 6700 points

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 share index was up 0.6% today to reach 6728.50 points as the Aussie market continues to reach new highs post the March crash.

The Commonwealth Bank (CBA) once again performed strongly, ticking up 1.68% to position itself comfortably above $80. 

It was also a happy day for Healthcare and Tech investors with CSL, Telstra (TLS) and Afterpay (APT) all ending in the green and really capitalising on this rally.

Gainers and Losers

The biggest gainers on Wednesday were:

  • Healius +7.4%
  • Mesoblast +4.9%
  • Cooper Energy +4.1%
  • Ansell +3.9%
  • NEXTDC +3.6%

The biggest declines were:

  • Abacus Property Group -3.8%
  • Silver Lake Resources -3.4%
  • Gold Road Resources -3.2%
  • Perseus -2.9%
  • St Barbara -2.7%
