ASX climbs 0.50% off back of strong contribution from tech
Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 share index climbed 0.50% today to reach 6856.90 points as technology stocks led the way.
Zip Co (Z1P) was the top gainer on the ASX200 today, adding 12.2% while Afterpay (APT) continues to rise, up 4.19% as investors keep gravitating towards BNPL stocks.
Commonwealth Bank (CBA) announced their first-half profits today which were unsurprisingly down, dropping 10.8%. On top of this, they will pay an interim dividend of $1.50, a sizeable increase despite the fall in profit. Despite all this, CBA was down 1.49% for the day.

- CIMIC -17.1%

- Crown Resorts -3.4%
- Star Entertainment -2.8%
- Ramelius Resources -2.4%
