Banks and miners lead charge as ASX adds 0.9%
Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 share index added 0.9% today as the banks and miners pulled the index up throughout the session.
The miners once again performed, backing up yesterday, with BHP up 3.13% and Rio Tinto (RIO) up 1.77%.
The banks all ended in the green for the day, Commonwealth Bank (CBA) up 1.70% and Westpac (WBC) closing 1.86% higher.

- Bank of Queensland +12.8%
- Adbri +10.5%
- AUB Group +10.1%
- Corporate Travel Management +9.8%
- Lendlease +8.4%
The biggest declines were:
- Perenti Global -12.6%
- Austal -10.9%
- Domino’s Pizza -8.9%
- G8 Education -7.3%
- Afterpay -7.2%
