ASX recoups yesterdays losses adding 1.10%

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 share index rose 1.1% today to reach 6588.50 points to kick start the month of December.

The miners and the banks all ended in the green today, lifting up the entire index with Rio Tinto (RIO) up 1.53% and Commonwealth Bank (CBA) up 1.49%.

Afterpay (APT) also had a strong day gaining 3.46%.

The biggest gainers on Tuesday were:

  • Dominos Pizza +12.4%
  • Collins Foods +10.9%
  • Sandfire Resources +9.8%
  • Monadelphous Group +7.1%
  • Regis Resources +6%

The biggest declines were:

  • Cooper Energy -2.8%
  • Treasury Wine -2.2%
  • IDP Education -2%
  • Corporate Travel Management -1.9%
  • Neatwealth -1.8%
