ASX falls just short of 6200 as it continues to rally
It was a sea of green on the ASX200 today as the market continues to rally to reach 6195.70 points on its seventh day of gains in a row.
This one percent increase today was once again fueled by strong performances by the banks and tech as ANZ adds 2.74% while Telstra (TLS) was up a whopping 3.96% for the day. Afterpay (APT) has been capitalising on this run with yet another strong performance, up 2.67%.
Woodside Petroleum (WPL) was also up 0.82% today despite announcing it will axe 300 more jobs this morning.
