ASX gains 0.9% while touching seven-month high

It was yet another strong day on the Aussie market as investors continue to seek value from March lows. The ASX200 was up 0.90% today to 6229.40 points, briefly touching a seven-month high of 6247 points around midday.

Much of this run has been fueled by lockdown laws in Melbourne easing over the next few weeks as well as news that Pfizer has begun production of a Covid-19 vaccine.

Some of Australia’s largest healthcare companies in CSL and Blackmores (BKL) benefitted heavily from this run, adding 1.72% and 2.39% respectively. Commonwealth Bank (CBA) also managed to edge over the $70 barrier, closing up 1.11% for the day.
