Investors show uncertainty as ASX drops 0.1%

The ASX200 edged slightly lower today, down 0.1% to 6167 points as it has become clear from the last few days of trading that there is some uncertainty from investors on where the market should be headed.

The banks were some of the biggest winners out of todays action with ANZ up 1.44% and Westpac up just under 1%.

Mining stocks were not so lucky with major gold producer, Newcrest Mining, down 2.79% by the close of trading.

Overall the market ended practically unchanged for the week, down a mere 0.2%.
