ASX not fazed by Trump’s claims of election fraud, up 0.8%
Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 share index added 0.8% today, up to 6190.20 points, as Trump in a press release made bold claims of election fraud and foul play.
This marks the best close in nearly three weeks as gold stocks benefited heavily off a rebound in the gold spot, settling around 1940 USD per ounce. Consequently, Newcrest Mining (NCM) was up 3.54% today off 4.2m shares traded.
Blackmores (BKL) was also in on the action, up 1.93% on close. While Tabcorp (TAH) added a monstrous 15.8% as a statement from chairman, Paula Dwyer, put allegations of a potential takeover bid to rest.
